Join us as we promote our rich culture and heritage so that people (especially our next generation) of Indian origin feel a sense of pride in sharing our history and culture with others.
Let's work with schools, libraries, and museums across California to raise awareness about the significance of Diwali and the contributions of Indian Americans to our state and nation.
Dear Future Generation:
Be Proud. We have grown up in the USA as kids of Indian immigrant parents and we know it's not easy to navigate two cultures as a minority (especially for children).
We promise you that we'll help raise awareness of our rich culture and heritage locally in our community. We will share with everyone, all the contributions made by Indian Americans in the USA.
We will achieve this, as a community, because we will rally together to create pride at being Indian at a local level in schools, libraries and other cultural centers.
